Cane Creek Falls
Cane Creek Falls drops 85 feet into the pool
below.  The plunge pool is very deep, and is
excellent for swimming.  Cane Creek runs
throughout the park and is responsible for the
impressive Cane Creek Gorge.  The
Cascades
are located just upstream from Cane Creek
Falls
, and the Rockhouse Creek Falls can be
seen beside the Falls during the wet weather
season.

Numerous views of Cane Creek falls can be
experienced.  The most popular and easiest
way to view the falls is by an overlook just to
the right of the entrance to the
Nature Center.
This is an easy paved walk, but does have a
few steps if you are wheelchair disabled.

The
Paw Paw Trail is a great way to view the
falls.  Although the trail is a 5 mile loop, you
can see the Cane Creek overlook in about half
of that.  Take the Paw Paw Trail to the sign that
says Cane Creek Falls Overlook, and the spur
trail will lead you to a beautiful spot with a
great look at the falls.  This view is partially
obstructed when the leaves are on the trees.
The Cable Trail (also a spur off of Paw Paw) is
a very difficult,  but just a short hike to the
base of the falls.  A cable is in place to help
hikers keep their footing.  Steep areas, loose
rocks, and some climbing are involved in
getting to the plunge pool of Cane Creek
Falls.
The Gorge Trail leading from the Nature
Center
to Fall Creek Falls also offers a spur
trail with another great view.  For the
adventurous, you can walk from the
Cascades
via the creekbed to the top of Cane Creek
Falls.
