This cemetery, located near the Firetower at Fall Creek Falls on Braden's Knob, is very tough to find. It is in an overgrown area, with no trails leading to it. We went off of information provided by the park and were finally able to locate it. The cemetery consists of one marked grave and a few unmarked gravestones. The marked grave is of Samuel C. Hemphill, who was a Union soldier in the Civil War. Hemphill fought and was wounded at the Battle of Franklin. Mr. Hemphill lived in Michigan before coming to Tennessee where he owned timberland, ran a saw mill, and briefly served as a Postmaster at Braden's knob. (Courtesy Zoe Tom)

Eli P. Crossett's Tombstone
This impressive tombstone is located on the first right off of the Firetower Road at 284. There is an old road where you can park and walk down to see the grave.
