Nearby Stores, Supplies and Shops
It seems that I forget at least one thing every time I go
camping.  That must explain why I have about 20 lighters
and 15 can openers.  If you need firewood, supplies,
food, or just some keepsakes from your trip, check out
these nearby stores that we highly recommend.

The new owners of this store are some of the friendliest people
that we have met at Fall Creek Falls.  They recently bought and
renovated the old Cajun Inn (it needed it!) and have done a great
job of making the store and hotel a friendly and welcoming place.
Stop by on The Way Inn!
Grocery
As the last and closest store to the South Entrance of Fall Creek
Falls, this is a great spot to pick up your firewood, drinks, food
and other things that you need while visiting the park.  We even
found a couple of paperback books for our weekend.
Grill
The Way Inn recently opened a grill inside their store.  To pick up
some items fresh off the grill is a real treat after a day of hiking,
biking, or swimming at Fall Creek Falls.
Hotel
The hotel offers very affordable lodging conveniently located to
the park.  The large, clean rooms have satellite television, air
conditioning, and wireless internet connections!  We were
pleasantly surprised to find a place so near the park that offers
wireless service.  We haven't stayed at the hotel yet, but when the
weather turns cold, we will give it a try.

The Indian Village Trading Post is one of our favorite places at Fall
Creek Falls.  The store, off of 284 at the North Entrance to the
park, is full of unique and interesting goods.  The owners recently
took a trip to the Native American reservations out west, and
returned with some unbelievable items handcrafted by some of
the most talented Native American artisans in the world.  They
have a great selection of pottery, clothing, items for the home,
incense, instruments, jewelry, knives, blankets, walking sticks,
and tons of other things.  The items are especially suited for those
who love and appreciate Native American culture, but also great
for those who just want to pick up a unique item to remember their
time at Fall Creek Falls.  Firewood is also available at the store.
Camping
We stumbled upon this campground when the park was full on
Memorial Day weekend in 2005.  Since then, we've gone back 7
times!  The campgrounds, while not improved (no water,
electricity, and only an outhouse and port-a-potty), offer great tent
camping at only $
10 per site per night in a nice, uncrowded
setting.  The campground backs up to the park boundry, and is
only a 1/2 mile or so from the Nature Center.  When the store is
open, a restroom is available inside.
